Data Ownership

Hotels retain full ownership of all operational data submitted to the IslandMetrics platform. IslandMetrics does not claim ownership of any operational data provided by participating properties. IslandMetrics is designed as a secure, standalone operational measurement system for hospitality properties. The platform does not require integration with internal hotel systems and does not access guest, financial, or personally identifiable data. Submitted data is processed solely to generate sustainability scores, operational insights, analytics, and reporting outputs for the submitting property.

Data Isolation

IslandMetrics operates on a secure multi-tenant architecture. Each propertyʼs data environment is fully isolated and accessible only to authorized users associated with that property. Data is never shared across properties and is handled with strict confidentiality.

IslandMetrics does not use client data for external purposes. All operational data remains fully owned by the property.

Data Scope & Separation

IslandMetrics is strictly limited to operational resource data, including energy consumption, water consumption, occupied room-nights, and property configuration inputs. The platform does not collect, store, or process guest information, financial records, payment data, or internal system data.

Aggregated Analytics

IslandMetrics uses aggregated and anonymized operational data to generate regional performance benchmarks and insights, and to support ongoing system-level improvements. No individual property data is disclosed, and all aggregated outputs are structured to prevent identification of specific hotels or operations.

Reporting Disclaimer

All outputs generated by IslandMetrics are based on operational data submitted by each property and are intended for internal performance monitoring and decision-making purposes.

IslandMetrics does not provide financial, audit, or regulatory assurance services, and all outputs should be interpreted as operational analysis rather than audited financial or compliance reporting.

Data Accuracy

The accuracy of all outputs is dependent on the completeness and accuracy of data submitted by each property. IslandMetrics does not independently verify submitted operational data.

Infrastructure & Data Protection

IslandMetrics is deployed using secure, industry-standard cloud infrastructure. Data transmission is encrypted (HTTPS), authentication is securely managed, and database environments are isolated. IslandMetrics implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure that all operational data is securely stored, processed, and protected against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. These practices ensure reliability, confidentiality, and controlled access.

Platform Intellectual Property

The IslandMetrics platform, including its underlying methodologies, calculation frameworks, system architecture, analytical models, user interface design, and all related software and outputs, remains the exclusive intellectual property of IslandMetrics.

Access to the platform does not grant any ownership rights or permission to replicate, reproduce, modify, reverse engineer, distribute, or commercially exploit any part of the system, its structure, or its outputs.
